How implementing a CRM will change your life... and your business

Picture this:

it's 10:00 AM on December 7th, 2020. It's a cold, winter day out in West Texas. Sleet is falling, and Christmas Lights Season is coming to an end. The phone rings - it's a customer wondering why we have not installed their lights.

"Hmm, that's weird,"

I thought to myself,

"they aren't showing up in the spreadsheet."

Two more calls quickly follow from unhappy customers. One made a maintenance call a week ago, and we haven't been by to fix the lights. Another has a light bulb burnt out, and we haven't come by to fix them. How could this be? It should all be in the "spreadsheet," a massive Excel spreadsheet containing hundreds of rows and columns that we used to track jobs, requests, payments, and just about anything involving our business.

After a few phone calls, my business partner and our lead installer determined we all had multiple versions of the same spreadsheet. Some had outdated information, some of the information was incorrect, and some information was flat missing from each sheet. It was an absolute nightmare to repopulate the data and get everything caught up to date, and more than a few customers suffered from a lack of our usually exceptional customer service.

There had to be a better way.

I began a crusade to optimize how we managed and organized customer data and requests, looking for ways to save my team time through automation and technology while providing our customers with a seamless experience using our services and communicating with us. There were dozens of potential solutions claiming to be the next great Customer Relationship Manager (CRM). After numerous trials, I found the Holy Grail - and I became an expert on manipulating and customizing this software to work magic for any business or organization.

A CRM

can be helpful to your business. The right CRM can save you time.

The right CRM integrated by the right team to uniquely work for your business to fit its needs is absolutely life-changing.

Here are just a few of the tasks a CRM, properly integrated, can do for you:

-Accept form submission with all the data you need from a customer, including multiple files
-Automatically communicate with a customer via text, email, and phone
-Automatically follow up with customers to leave you a review on Google, Facebook, and more
-Place all existing locations or addresses of customers, clients, or jobs onto an easy-to-use map
-Allow you to easily assign a job to one or more members of your team
-Assign statuses and tags to jobs or items and have them move automatically to the correct location
-Automatically track when a customer has paid and move them to the correct location
-Easily share files related to a job or client that the entire team can easily access and see

These points represent a small fraction of what our CRM can do for your business when implemented exclusively for its needs.
